Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 7
What decade are we in again? So far in the 2020s, we’ve seen styles and inspiration pop up from multiple eras of the 20th century. It seems like everything is in. Gender norms, however, are old news.
Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 6
The focus for this month’s Style Guide is one of the biggest trends we’ve seen this spring: fairycore.
Floral, ethereal, pretty little things with a dose of natural charm. Basically, it’s cottagecore plus magic. If you look like you’d be dreaming in a field of flowers, you’ve nailed it!
Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 5
For this month’s Style Guide, we dressed our friend and local fashion icon Mallory Mayne in some of our favorite pieces in the shop. This spring, one of the top trends we’re seeing is COLOR — and lots of it!
Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 4
It’s already February, and we’ve got another batch of fresh looks for you. This month, we put together outfits for different Valentine’s Day events! Don’t fret if you don’t have plans; you don’t have to have an occasion to dress up — but we’ll get to the fashion in a sec…
Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 3
You’re not the only one who might have caved to the burnout and found themselves resorting to the same daily uniform - comfortable but lacking some excitement. We’ve got a simple solution for your sartorial slump: TEXTURE!
Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 2
This round, we’re talking monochromatic fits, check it out!
First off, a monochromatic look typically uses only one color or hue to create a bold, fun, and (duh) colorful outfit! Don’t worry about a monochromatic fit being too “matchy-matchy” or the colors not matching enough…
Strawberry Mountain Style Guide Vol. 1
Welcome to the Strawberry Mountain Style Guide! We first released this style guide back in November 2022 and ever since we’ve been sending them out as a monthly email. These style guides are designed to share some fresh ideas you can use with pieces from your wardrobe and with clothing you can find right here at the store!
Successful Secondhand Shopping
Have you ever gone thrifting in hopes to find some new pieces for your closet, but walked away feeling defeated, out of luck, and empty handed? Let’s face it, while shopping secondhand and embracing sustainability is really important right now, finding the right pieces can sometimes feel overwhelming or even hopeless. How do you find clothing that fits you properly and makes you feel good?
“So, Where’d You Get The Name Strawberry Mountain?”
Hello and welcome to the blog! My name is Nadia and I’m the Owner and General Manager of Strawberry Mountain. Since Strawberry Mountain opened last year, I’ve been asked time and time again, “How did you come up with the name?” It’s a great question and I’d love to tell you about it!
Reflecting on Strawberry Mountain’s First Year
It’s been just about a year since Strawberry Mountain opened its doors on Santa Fe Dr. in Denver, CO. I’m so thrilled and amazed at how far this little idea of starting a community-driven resell clothing shop has come along
Clothes Aren’t Trash!
The other day I was running some trash to a shared city bin behind the store and I noticed a stack of clothing in the garbage. I hate seeing that!
An Interview with Artist Chrysalis Conway
Hey friends! One thing we’re passionate about here at Strawberry Mountain is supporting and showcasing our talented community when we can. That’s why we’re so excited to announce that we will be housing and selling art from local artist Chrysalis Conway! She is a multi-talented creative who specializes in gorgeous paintings, portraits, and miniatures. On top of that, she’s an incredible woman and we’re fortunate to be able to call her a friend. We sat down with Chrys in order to get her perspective on art, fashion, and her inspirations.
Welcome To The Blog!
If you’ve been into the store and made it onto our email list, there’s a good chance that fashion is important to you. We could talk forever about how fashion is a beautiful way for someone to express their true self – to explore who they are and who they want to be. But at the end of the day, people are better when they feel good. They feel good when they look good, they look good when they are authentic, and that’s good! That’s good for so many reasons!
