Hello everyone!

We are back with another Strawberry Mountain Style Guide. Did you miss us? We missed you! Now that the holidays have come and gone, it’s not unusual for your expressive side to hit a lull.

You’re not the only one who might have caved to the burnout and found themselves resorting to the same daily uniform - comfortable but lacking some excitement. We’ve got a simple solution for your sartorial slump: TEXTURE!

When it comes to fashion, texture can be a small investment with a big payoff. It’s a great way to add something extra to your looks without putting in a ton of extra effort. Something as simple as a fuzzy knit sweater, some shiny leather, or an ornate lace top can add depth and provide variety to an otherwise simple outfit.

Here’s how we styled different types of textures, from casual to more elevated looks. Get ready to zoom in - you’re not gonna want to miss the details!

We put together a variety of textures for this fun look including a fun, fuzzy UNIF bag, and short sleeve top. Throw in even more texture with this incredible cherry red 90s leather jacket and gray swishy nylon pants for a funky elevated look.

For a more subtle approach to texture, a wool vest with some color blocking could be the centerpiece of any outfit. It’s easy to pair with a complementary button up and some basic bottoms. Try using your accessories to tie the look together even more! If you’ve got shoes with a little texture, a tote bag, or even a bolo tie, don’t be shy. Add to the mix!

On the surface, this is a pretty straightforward black and white fit. But the added layers of knits, pleather, fuzzies, and more gives it additional character and depth. If you have any pieces like this in your closet, you can build a similar look. There’s only one rule: don’t be afraid to throw it all together!

For a casual version of what we’ve been talking about, pair some corduroy pants with a tee and a jacket for an added layer. Accessories can take you a long way, and this is where the shiny vintage Fendi bag, spiky sunnies, and out-there Converse come into play. Piece of cake!
